Readwall was built with a fundamental belief in digital privacy. Our business model is a simple single purchase, not selling your data. We do not track your reading habits, we do not monitor your app usage off device, and we do not serve ads.
Accessibility Service API Usage
Readwall utilizes the Android Accessibility Service API exclusively for its core functionality: blocking distracting applications.
- Why it is used: The Accessibility Service allows Readwall to detect when you open an application that you have specifically chosen to block, enabling the app to draw the Wall screen over it.
- What data is collected: The Accessibility Service does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, screen content, or typing data. It is only used to read package names to trigger the block.
- Data sharing: Absolutely no data obtained through the Accessibility Service is shared with any third party.
Local Data Storage
All of your data, including your reading streaks, daily goals, blocked app lists, and imported books, are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain servers to sync this data, meaning we physically cannot access it.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use basic, anonymized crash reporting tools to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This data cannot be linked back to you personally and contains no details about what you read or which apps you block.
