How Readwall works: block apps until you read your way to better habits
You pick up your phone to check a message, and twenty minutes later you are mindlessly scrolling. Here is how we break the loop.
The Setup
It starts with honesty. Select the apps that steal most of your attention — TikTok, Instagram, Twitter. Then, decide how many minutes you want to read each day before those apps become available. We recommend starting with just ten minutes.
The Wall
The next morning, muscle memory kicks in. Your thumb taps the social icon. Instead of a feed, you hit the wall. A clean, block screen telling you the app is locked and you have reading to do. The dopamine loop is broken instantly.
The Session
You tap the read button. Readwall opens your book in a distraction free environment. The timer quietly runs in the background while you immerse yourself in the text. No notifications interrupt you. It is just you and the words.
Look within. Within is the fountain of good, and it will ever bubble up, if thou wilt ever dig.
The Unlock
Once you hit your target minutes, the reading screen subtly lets you know you have succeeded. The wall drops. Your blocked apps are completely accessible again for the rest of the day. You earned your scroll time.
